•What platform can ActiveMargin™ run on? |
ActiveMargin™ can run on all Wintel platforms and uses the SQL Server database. Since the ActiveMargin™ interface is a standard TCP/IP, it is not necessary for the third party systems to also run on the same platform. The order routing system or the back-office, for instance, could well run on a Unix platform. With the obvious exceptions of the operating system and the database, ActiveMargin™ requires no third party run time licenses.

| • How does the ActiveMargin™ architecture permit scalability? |
ActiveMargin™ is designed to run on parallel systems. The more the number of instances of the online risk engine, better the online performance. But you will be surprised at the speed that ActiveMargin™ can work at, even with a single instance of the engine running. To handle cases where the trading intensity is very large, the architecture provides for scaling out. Click here to view chart
